Hi
Ok, so I was playing uno, and I couldn't keep up with the cards because everyone was playing too fast. My screen reader was getting so annoying. Does anyone know how I can keep up. Everybody was intercepting and you know. My ears hurt
I learned to play fast as I played more often. I sped my jaws up fast and just tryed to listen without doing anything to the jaws. It is hard but doable. I also will read set my cards to go in the order I wish, like organized by colors and such. It helps
the command to do this I believe is shift C for colors and shift N for numbers but could be wrong. I don't think about it when I do it.
The command is shift c for colors, it's why I usually limit what can and can't be done in a uno game, although I haven't played on the playroom in a while
Shift H for numbers, and Shift c for colors, spead your jaws up, and practis, u will get there.
Good luck, hope this helps.
Yeh, ok, I get that, so what I need to do is speed nvda up, great, thanks all. I like the challenge of all the intercepts and stuff, but its really supehared to keep up and I have no clue how people do it.
yeah but I think it will be a little harder with NVDA. no?
Why?If its the voice, not to worry, I have the eloquence addon which is the same voice as jaws and window eyes.
Shuold I hit c a lot? What should I do for buzzer cards because those are more important than intercept.
Do the visually impaired people have more of an advantage or is it the same do you think?
I'm not sure about visually impaired people and if they have an advantige, I've thought about it sometimes, maybe they just go and click with the mous, but i'm not sure.
About the buzzer cards, if it's more then 2 people and that option is enabled then keep your finger on b and rite when u here the buzzer hit it.
but if it's only 2 players playing then no need, even if it's enabled, it wont matter because it's only 2 players playing. it will just act like a wild card.
and yeah hit c alot, dont wate for your nvda to tell u what card it is. Have your cards planned out earlier on. and I find having the cards sorted by number helps.
I speed up NVDA's voice and uncheck all the information of object's position! I also use Shift+H to organize well my cards. Like that it really works! That's one moment where Espeak is cool because it's fast and light and you can keep track of the game!
Objects position?
